Glossary

Terms used in CORE exchanges, the API and service rules.

AML / KYT screening
Source-of-funds and sanctions screening of a deposit. The executor runs it under its own rules; CORE runs no screening of its own.
Asset and network
In CORE an asset is always a code plus a network: USDT on TRON and USDT on Ethereum are different coins. Every quote, deal and address check carries both.
comparedExecutors
How many executors answered a quote request. The partner API returns the count without the names. Names can be switched on per key for a partner that shows the comparison to its users.
coreTrackRecord
CORE's deal history with one executor: legs run, completed, failed or refunded, and the average time to finish. It is null when CORE has no deals with that executor.
Deal
An accepted quote that is being executed. CORE's word for what other services call a swap or an order. A deal moves through six statuses from creation to its final outcome.
Deal status
DRAFT and ACTIVE mean the deal is in progress. COMPLETED, FAILED, REFUNDED and EXPIRED are final and never change. Each status is described in the API reference and on the deal's track page.
Deposit deadline
The time by which the deposit must reach the executor's order. It starts once the order is created.
Exchange confirmation
A downloadable record of one completed deal: its number, status, both amounts, both transaction hashes and the executor. Download it from the track page.
Executor
The company that performs the swap: it takes the deposit, exchanges the coins and sends the payout. CORE compares executors and places the order with the best one. The deposit goes to the executor's address, not to CORE.
Floating rate
The amount shown before a deposit is an estimate. The final amount is set when the deposit arrives. Every active executor uses a floating rate, so the rate is never guaranteed in advance.
Idempotency-Key
A required header on every deal-creation call. A retry with the same key returns the original deal instead of a new one, so a timeout never turns into a second charge.
Memo (tag)
An extra identifier some networks need with the address to credit the right account. Required for assets like XRP, XLM and TON. CORE checks it before the order is created, because a payout without it cannot be recovered.
Partner reference
A public token in a partner's link or widget. It credits the exchange to the partner and can do nothing else, unlike an API key. A referral is remembered for 30 days, and the latest click counts.
Payout address
The address where the client receives the coins. CORE checks that it matches the receiving network before the order is created, so before any deposit.
Provider Passport
What CORE knows about an executor, shown with a quote wherever the executor is named: who receives the deposit, supported rate modes, whether it takes a refund address at creation, its terms version and link, which networks need a memo, and CORE's deal history with it. Unconfirmed fields stay null.
Quote expiry
The time until which a quote can be accepted. The deposit deadline starts later, once a deal is created, and runs separately.
Rate limit
60 requests per minute for each API key. If the limiter itself fails, requests are refused.
Refund address
Where the deposit goes back if the swap cannot complete. Given at creation, it keeps the refund tracked in CORE. Without it, the executor decides how the coins come back.
REVIEW
The response to a deal-creation call when the outcome at the executor is unknown. It carries no deposit address. Wait while an operator confirms the status with the executor before anything is sent.
