The floating rate.
The rate on CORE floats. The amount the form shows is the executor's estimate at the time of the request. The final amount is set when the executor receives your deposit.
Why the amount changes
While the deposit travels through the network and collects confirmations, market prices move. The executor pays out at the rate when it receives the deposit, so the payout can come out above or below the estimate.
When the rate is recomputed
- In the form: an offer is valid until the time shown on the page, after that it has to be refreshed.
- When the exchange is created: CORE asks the executor for a fresh offer.
- When the deposit arrives: the executor sets the final amount.
How to keep it close
- Send the deposit right after creating the exchange.
- Send the amount, on the network, shown on the exchange page.
- Follow the status by the exchange link: the final amounts and transaction hashes are there.
A deposit after the deadline or in another amount
The executor handles such a deposit under its own terms: it runs the exchange at a new rate or returns the coins. Write to support with the exchange number and we pass the question on to the executor.
Where to see the status
Once the exchange is created you get a link to its page. It updates by itself and shows each step: waiting for the deposit, network confirmations, execution and the payout being sent. The amounts and transaction hashes are there too, so you can find each transfer in a block explorer.
You need no account for an exchange. If you are signed in, it also appears in your account.
